Implementing SAML for Secure Single Sign-On

SAML is being rapidly adopted to provide Secure Internet Single Sign-On for the SaaS market and to secure B2B business transactions. After initially being ratified as a specification in 2002 (v1.0) by OASIS and the final version (v2.0) ratified in March 2005, it is now supported by a very large number of commercial and Open Source solutions.
This 4 hour course will look in depth at the SAML 2.0 specification, its security benefits and discuss the most common implementations seen in the market today. Topics will include:
• What is SAML
• Use Cases & Benefits
• IDP-Lite and SP-Lite overview
• Profiles: IDP-Init SSO, SP-Init SSO, IDP-Init SLO and SP-Init SLO
• Bindings: Post, Redirect, SOAP
• Conformance Requirements
