Identity in the Salesforce Cloud
Chuck Mortimore
As the enterprise cloud computing company, salesforce.com has spent over a decade building a platform, Force.com, that manages millions of identities for more than 77,000 customers, and now handles more than 300 million daily transactions. As today's businesses increasingly shift their processes into the cloud, salesforce.com is applying its previous decade of experience to help define a simplified set of design patterns and standards that will harmonize the speed and compelling economics of the cloud with companies’ existing Identity management systems and processes. Topics will include the evolution of Force.com and cloud architectures for provisioning, authentication, Web and API federation, audit/transparency, and enterprise social identity.
