unConference Discussions

After lunch on Wednesday July 21st we will break into 3 sessions of real-time discussions. 

Kaliya (aka "Identity Woman") of the Internet Identity Workshop (IIW) will facilitate this section of the conference, which will give you ample opportunity to discuss the topics you find most relevant to your business. 


There is a wide array of topics that arise when talking about identity in the cloud. Many of them will be covered by the speakers at the Summit, however, there are always opportunities to go into more depth and inevitable topics that are not fully addressed in formal talks.

 

The afternoon of July 21st will be attendee lead breakout sessions. Creating the agenda for the afternoon will be facilitated by Kaliya Hamlin, a widely recognized expert in the field of user-centric identity and unconference facilitation. This is the format used at the last 10 Internet Identity Workshop's that she founded with Doc Searls and Phil Windley.

About Kaliya

KaliyaHamlin250Kaliya has designed and facilitated over 100 unconferences in the past four years. Inc Magazine’s December ‘09 issue covered the Mass Technology Leadership Council Innovation Unconference that Kaliya facilitated.

Kaliya got her start facilitating in 2005 co-founding the Internet Identity Workshop. OpenID v2 the open standard for end-user identity online (Google, AOL, Yahoo!, MSFT, Facebook, Typepad, MySpace all use it) got its start at the first Internet Identity Workshop.  Meeting every 6 months (the 10th one is in May 2010) it is the main gathering for a thriving technical developing open standards for the emerging social web.  She is an expert and leader in the field she  blogs, & tweets under her community handle – “Identity Woman”.

Kaliya has co-founded several unconferences including She’s Geeky: Connecting Women in Tech, The ReadWrite Real-Time Web Summit, and Open Government Directive Workshop Series. She works with a range of organizational & community clients who hire her for their events (see below).
